The Pelican Library is a private collection of the highest quality books. The bar for inclusion of titles in the Pelican Library is set high. We have carefully curated the collection to include only the best books for children and families.
The library includes several key collections, including young adult, adult fiction, and an extensive non-fiction collection organized by Dewey Decimal. The library also boasts a distinctively robust children’s collection for all ages (see Children & Family). .
Every title within the collection is carefully selected with the goal of prioritizing the true, good, and beautiful. All collections are housed within beautifully designed sections, specifically crafted with a creatively old world library aesthetic, to captivate the imagination of readers young and old.
The goal is for the Pelican Library’s “list of excellent books” to have one million titles added to it by the end of 2028. Not all titles will be physically available at every branch, but the list will be the master list for branch librarians to source from.
